Courses
At least once a year Inspringtheater is organising a series of two courses: the introduction course forum theatre and a follow up course, the joker course. The courses are aimed at teaching the methodology of Theatre of the Oppressed, whereby the focus lays on forum theatre. Both courses consist of 6 hours and they’re mostly divided in three evenings, but can also take the form of a forum theatre day or weekend. The courses can be organised on request for a group of 10 to 20 participants.
Introduction course forum theatre
In the introduction course, the participants learn various games and exercises and work towards the creation of a forum theatre scene. They learn how to act in forum theatre and how to engage with the audience jumping in the play.
Joker course
In the joker course participants learn how to facilitate forum theatre and make it a success. They learn how to activate an audience and make the hurdle to jump in as low as possible. Furthermore, they learn how to guide the jumping in the performance.
